Did all go right?

Earlier this year my client, who’s taking his (already award-winning) tech start-up to a new level, shared this marvellous question he and his wife have a habit of asking themselves regularly.

It turned out that this one question helps my client to return to his own inner truth at any given moment, regardless of the mind chatter and what’s going on outside, and we agreed that it’s something we need to visit regularly in his business endeavours, too.

By the way, this is one reason why I’m in love with the work with my clients.

You always have what you need already inside of you – you just need to be conscious of it!

And I get to be there for that. Guiding and illuminating the path forward through the peace and harmony of presence. For presence is the prerequisite for innate knowing to unfold. For accessing your inner wisdom.

Ok, so back to the question of my client.

Why is it so marvellous?

Well, if you have a habit of naturally putting other people’s needs before your own (and justify doing that with a variety of stories to prove it’s ok), even though you don’t feel at ease with yourself for doing that, then this question might help you too.

To recognise and become aware of

  • where and when your boundaries have been crossed.
  • when you’ve had to compromise your values.
  • when you’re compromising your innate knowing of how to relate and lead both yourself and others.

Especially if you’ve been completely ignoring the subtle messages of your body.

I’m guilty of that, too.

You’ve heard me many times talk about the manifestation and creation process that starts with your beliefs and values, that guide your thoughts, that cause your feelings, that define your actions, that become your results.

But what if we’d throw all that up in the air and let it land a bit differently? Would you be open to that?

For what if it all is meant to start with your body? With your senses?

Followed by feeling?
And then thinking?

Would that change anything for you?
In your life or leadership?

That’s what we’re currently observing and exploring with this client of mine. And that marvelous question of his helps him do just that.

To be present.
To be aware of his senses.

Of those subtle messages his senses are telling him through his body. Especially when something’s not quite right.

So, what started as a habit with his wife has now expanded to be an important part of his leadership and the way he runs his business, too.

Last week, in our weekly session, he got this amazing breakthrough, noticing how the tendency to not be present in the moment, rooted in his body, launches him into the mind chatter, and leads him to act in less beneficial ways.

The most beautiful part is that even though it’s not by any means comfortable to become aware of something like this in yourself, at the same time, the newly gained awareness, the expansion of your consciousness, always brings a solution with it, too.

It always illuminates the change that is required.

And once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it.
The change within has already taken place.

That’s why I’d like to share the question with you (with his permission). So you can take some time to reflect upon it too, in your own life and leadership, by asking yourself in any (or every) situation:

Did all go quite right now?

And remember. It’s not about launching into action for a quick fix. Quick fixes might actually be creating problems where there are none.

It’s about taking time to stand still and observe what’s beyond your usual stories and thought patterns, beyond the misplaced perceptions of your mind. And recognising the truth BEFORE taking any action.

With my all,
Paula
